digging

Every time I visit the building site with camera in hand, I try to take shots from the same angles each time. This time, I didn't have much of a view due to the large piles of dirt in the way!

Here's what I saw as I came closer...

Funny, how these photos make the equipment and the hole they dug seem SMALL.

Summer had been very dry until we dug this hole. That week it rained 4 inches one night.

This photo gives an idea of how big the hole for the basement is - compared to the big John Deere!

The front porch is to the mid-lower right and back of the house will be to the left in this photo.

Footings are poured!

Plumbing and electrical will be done before the basement and garage floors are poured. Stay tuned...
